Executive Tax Search is a retained service used by clients to find the most suitable candidate to fill a particular tax role. Search is typically used for senior-level jobs, such as Head of Tax, VP Tax, Tax Directors and Tax Partners, of which there is a smaller pool of appropriate, high-level candidates who can be identified and targeted. A tax search aims to find the best candidate for the position, whether or not this candidate is looking to make a career move. As such, a search includes a higher level of negotiation and discretion.
Tax Resourcing acts as a third party in all their search processes (full search, partial search, research only), so that both the client and the candidate can relay their wants, conditions, requirements, desires, requisites and preferences honestly, comfortably and without bias or pressure from the other party. This makes for smoother communication and friendlier relations between the parties, as our search consultants handle every case with the upmost tact and discretion.
At Tax Resourcing, we have trained search professionals proficient in these skills, with experience in targeting, recruiting and securing the best people in the tax industry.
There are three types of Search processes that we specialise in at Tax Resourcing:
A full search is one in which Tax Resourcing takes responsibility in examining a client’s needs and documenting these requirements, researching and gathering data on tax candidates, contacting candidates and marketing the role to them, interviewing and evaluating candidates, presenting candidate information to the client in the form of a shortlist of most suitable candidates, setting up interviews between client and these candidates, conducting reference checks, negotiating salary and conditions between client and candidate, and ensuring we secure your preferred tax professional. We then also follow up on candidate progression at regular intervals, to ensure satisfaction on both sides.
A partial search is one in which a client already has a preferred candidate, but requires the negotiation skills of a third party. For a partial search a consultant would be responsible for; examining a client’s needs and documenting these requirements, contacting the candidate and marketing the new role to them, negotiating salary and conditions, and facilitating the process of moving across to the new firm or corporation.
This is a more limited service provided by the consultants at Tax Resourcing, where we examine a client’s needs and gather the data based on research on suitable candidates which we provide to clients. This service may be considered where you may have identified a preferred candidate but require more rigour and assurance as the capabilities and quality of the person being considered.
